Lovage can grow up to two meters in height. The leaves are shiny and dark green.

The leaves have a penetrant, celery-like smell and flavor. One leaf already suffices to give your dishes that characteristic bouillon flavor. Young, finely-chopped leaves are delicious in raw-vegetable salads. Finely-chopped leaves add flavor to soups, bouillon, stews and sauces. Lovage can be cooked without losing any of its flavor.

It is best to use lovage fresh. It can be stored for several days when cooled. It is also suitable for freezing.
